Can you believe that’s how many weeks we have left till the end of this year? It’s crazy how fast it has gone. I feel like I have accomplished a lot…some things were not even on the horizon back on January 1st.

Back then my mind was on returning to my part time job after the Christmas break. I was doing some cosmetic renovations on our house, while thinking about getting the roof painted and maybe doing a deck out back. Fast forward a few months and things are rather different. Now I’m focused on my own business and living in a rental after randomly selling the house to buy some land and build our dream home. Whodathunk that?!?!

So with only 12 weeks to go until the end of the year, I still have so many more things I want to do and achieve….as always! There are two things that are my primary focus for the rest of the year though – my health and my business.

As most of us mums do, we tend to make everything in the world a priority except us. Needless to say that can have an effect on ones health. You put on weight. Your skin looks crap. You stay up till 1am every day to squeeze everything in and then get back up at 6am to make it all happen again the next day. You are so exhausted when it comes to meal time that any old frozen dinner will do. Exercise is something you do while you are doing the housework because there simply isn’t enough time in the day for anything else. But I said enough was enough. Time for change.

With the help of a friend, who has created a lifestyle plan for me, I have started making time for me. Gone are the frozen meals eaten on the go. They have been replaced with wholesome, home cooked meals. I’ve even cut back my coffee and sugar intake…this in itself is a massive feat! Exercise is high on the agenda these days. You can now find me taking Roxy for a jog/power walk. I’ve restructured my days so that I can actually do more during the day and therefore get to bed around 10pm so that I can read a book for a little before I sleep…something I haven’t done since Ruby was born! My skin feels better, I feel more alive and I have lost weight. I’m still a work in progress but i’m heading in the right direction.

We’ve got a busy couple of months coming up with Ruby’s 2nd birthday and a trip to Melbourne…our first holiday together…I can’t wait!

What have you got planned for the next 12 weeks?

Have fun,
