I’ve had a long held dream to have all the family over for the Christmas period, matching PJs, a big long dining table set up for Christmas lunch and a Christmas tree soaring to the ceiling. Well this Christmas I was finally able to tick those off my wish list!
My family all came to stay – parents and two neices. It was the first time my neices have visited our new house and they were blown away with what we have been able to achieve with our renovations.
The weather was great. We spent day times by the pool and of an evening we would have lots of laughs with things like karaoke. Mum said I was the best…now I can’t sing to save my life so that was really telling of just how good we all were – not!
Christmas day was amazing. I had decided that when we moved into our own home, the first Christmas I wanted to do in a colour scheme of black, craft paper and gold. I purchased a new black linen table cloth to fit the 2.4 metre table and white and black napkins, both from Pillowtalk. I found some gold utensils online that would match the gold dinner set we’ve had for years:
Here’s our attempt at a charcuterie board:
Even Kelsey was happy with her very first Christmas – she’s actually not a big smiler so this is her biggest smile:
What will we do next Christmas?!?
Have fun!
